Group Stage Draws to a Close

The group stage of Euro 2024 has concluded, with the final standings now set. Several teams have already secured their place in the knockout rounds, while others will have to sweat it out in the playoffs.

Group A

Group A was dominated by Russia, who won all three of their matches to finish with nine points. Slovakia finished second with six points, followed by Poland in third with three points, and Greece in fourth with no points.

Group B

Group B was a much tighter affair, with the top three teams all finishing on six points. Germany came out on top on goal difference, followed by England and Italy. Switzerland finished in fourth with no points.

Group C

Group C was won by Spain, who also won all three of their matches. Portugal finished second with six points, followed by Ukraine in third with three points, and Iceland in fourth with no points.

Group D

Group D was the closest of all, with all four teams finishing on three points. France won the group on goal difference, followed by Croatia, Denmark, and Austria.

Playoffs

The eight teams that finished second in their respective groups will now compete in the playoffs to determine the final four teams that will advance to the knockout rounds.
